I am collaborating with TMU Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst to enhance their UX by developing high-fidelity prototypes that rapidly iterate on design ideas. These prototypes play a crucial role in guiding the design and development teams as they restructure content to align with user needs. Here’s a quick look at some of the impactful changes we’ve made so far.
When tasked with enhancing the mixed media section at the bottom of news posts, I saw an opportunity to improve user experience and streamline interaction. Rather than sticking with the already established icon approach for identifying media types, I introduced a “Fruit Bowl” method.

This not only allowed us to maintain a cohesive look across the items but also made the related publications visually distinct while inviting a more intuitive user action.
By designing the publications as a separate category with its own set of interactions—like offering direct document downloads instead of a link to the abstract page—we reduced friction in user navigation. This immediate access to documents positions the section as a more dynamic, efficient resource, making the media mix not just functional but more engaging for the audience.
